At a Ceres, California gun range, a firearms instructor was holstering a gun during a training session when it fired.  The 69-year old was struck in the thigh and taken to the hospital where he is in stable condition.

Perhaps if the gun had an external manual safety that the instructor demonstrated for the class, it wouldn’t have gone off while being holstered?
