In Edwardsville, Pennsylvania, a 10-year old boy named Connor died in a gun accident at his home. At the time of the accident, he was jumping on a couch. One of the adults in the home was clearing the chamber of a gun when it fired. According to a report, the gun was sent to the state crime lab for testing.
A Go-Fund-Me page set up for the boy’s family says that Connor died in a “misfired firearm accident.” The boy was described as “a ball of light and energy.” The page says, “[t]hough he may be gone his spirit lives on in everyone he has met.”
Also today, 3-year old Mykeydrea Brown of Shreveport, Louisiana found an unattended loaded gun in her home and shot herself in the face. She died on Friday, February 5. Her 20-year old father was charged with second degree cruelty to a juvenile.
