Two young people were accidentally shot and killed by friends today while playing with guns.
18-year old Armani Hall of Louisville, Kentucky was shot and killed by her 21-year old friend Adrianna King. King admitted that she had been playing with the gun. She was arrested and charged with one count of reckless homicide.
In Tollhouse, California, a group of young men were drinking and playing with guns when they decided to shoot each other with rubber bullets. After one of the men was shot with a rubber bullet without incident, 23-year old Bradly Smith donned a military helmet and protective vest. His friend, Elvis Hernandez, accidentally picked up the wrong gun and shot Bradly with a powerful round. Bradly died at the scene.
Hernandez was charged with involuntary manslaughter. “This is just a real cautionary tale, gun safety 101, you never point a firearm at somebody whether it’s loaded or unloaded, even if it’s a fake gun and to basically use somebody as target practice for fun, just not smart at all,” a Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said.
