In New York City, New York a 41-year old innocent bystander was shot in the back by a round that was fired near West 64th Street. He is expected to survive. The shooting took place just a few blocks away from Lincoln Center, a cultural community that has more than five million visitors annually. The round was fired by one of four men in a Chrysler Minivan, which left the scene at the time of the incident.
The injured bystander “was delivering food for the West Side Campaign Against Hunger, an organization that attempts to alleviate hunger by providing healthy food options and supportive services for the community.”
Police are investigating.
