For at least the third time this week, children were shot and killed by stray gunfire.
Ten-year old Lena Nunez, of Chicago, Illinois, was struck by a bullet that entered through her apartment window and hit in the head. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police believe that a group of males outside were shooting at another group when the incident occurred.
Earlier the same day, in a separate incident, Sincere Gaston, a one-year old Chicago boy was also struck by gunfire and killed. He was riding in a car with his mother at the time. “I just want to sit on the curb and cry,” said a local Pastor. “If you’re not mad if you’re not outraged if you’re not heartbroken about this, then what will you be heartbroken about?”
