A school maintenance worker at the Sagemont School in Weston Florida was accidentally shot in the eye by an armed school security officer. The security officer, who worked for a private company, dropped the shooting victim at a local hospital and went home.
According to authorities, the security officer, Julian Suarez, was not authorized to carry the gun on school grounds. He has been charged and is being held on a $7,500 bail in an ongoing investigation.
