In Hinckley, Ohio, 13-year old Max Muzyczka, an eighth grader, was shot to death. Police reported that “the initial investigation indicates this was sadly a tragic accident.” Authorities declined to release additional information about the incident out of respect for the the boy’s family.
According to a statement issued by the school district, “Max was a good student, an athlete and had many friends.” The district will provide crisis counselors over the next few days in order to provide assistance to grieving students and staff.
