A man participating in target practice with family and friends was accidentally shot in the leg when another participant attempted to fix a malfunctioning weapon. The Free Soil Township, Michigan man, Jason Eric Schenkel, is expected to survive.
According to the report, the gun owner was attempting to fix the malfunction on the hood of his car when Mr. Schenkel walked in front of the gun as it went off. The Sheriff’s office say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
