A Pataskala, Ohio girl was shot and killed by her 6-year old brother on the day after her second birthday. The boy had found a loaded gun in the home.
A newspaper obtained the transcript of the call to 911:
“There’s been an accident with a weapon. … My daughter’s been shot with a gun,” the girl’s mother said on the call. She then said to someone else in the house, “Oh my God, Oh my God! Stop! Why did you have a gun in the house? … I told you this would happen.”
After the incident, the girl’s father, Jason Massuros, barricaded himself in the home with an AR-15, threatening to shoot himself. He was later arrested and charged with endangering children, a third degree felony.
