Three People Injured in Gun Accidents

During a struggle for a gun in a home in Hope Mills, North Carolina, two people were unintentionally shot. Police responded to a call of a reported break-in and found the resident with a gunshot wound. The resident said a person with a handgun broke into the home, and during the fight over the gun it discharged, shooting them both in the hand. They also reported to police that the suspect had run off and that they know each other. There is an ongoing investigation and so far no charges have been filed.

An off-duty police officer accidentally shot himself with his gun in the bathroom of a restaurant in White Plains, New York. While he was adjusting his pants, the gun discharged striking him in the genitals. He is in stable condition, as investigators try to determine details about the incident.
