13-year-old Boy Killed in Accidental Shooting

A 13-year-old boy was shot and killed in an apartment in Humble, Texas, in what appears to be an accidental shooting. He was pronounced dead at the scene “from at least one gunshot wound.” The boy was living with his aunt at the apartment, and it appears she made the 911 call. Investigators are questioning two other teenage boys who were with the victim at the time. The circumstances of the shooting are unclear, and the investigation involves reviewing surveillance video and working to determine how the boys got the gun. Investigators don’t believe that the aunt kept a firearm in the apartment. So far no one has been charged, as officials continue to investigate.
