Three Innocent Bystanders Injured in Shooting at Historic Restaurant

A shooting at an historic New Orleans, Louisiana restaurant, killed a targeted victim and injured three innocent bystanders. The targeted victim ran into the foyer of the busy restaurant after being chased and shot at on the street. According to the police superintendent, three women waiting for tables were hit “because there was so much gunfire going on.” All of the women were tourists; two were friends visiting from Los Angeles, the third was from Florida. One of the friends suffered “very severe gunshot wounds,” that will require a couple of weeks in the hospital. The other friend is in stable condition after surgery, and the third woman suffered graze wounds.

The unidentified suspect remains at large, and police are appealing to the public for help. A reward is being offered by Crimestoppers. The superintendent said, “I can understand that people are fearful about these things, but that’s why Crimestoppers is so important, because we don’t want your name, we only want your information.”
