High School Junior Dies in Hunting Accident

The sheriff’s office is investigating a hunting accident that led to the death of 17-year-old Aden McKinney in Crofton, Kentucky. He died at the hospital the day after the shooting.
Aden was a junior at the local high school. The school dismissed students early on the day of his funeral so that students could attend. A GoFundMe page set up to help pay for funeral expenses, described Aden as “…a loving, caring, sweet, and compassionate child who touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed trucks, horses, ATVs, hunting, and anything that let him be outside doing what he loved most.”
