Student Injured When Gun Fires in Locker Room

During basketball practice at a middle school in Savannah, Georgia, a gun discharged in the locker room when a 15-year-old male student picked up his jacket. He was struck in the hand and taken to the hospital for treatment. The gun was recovered and the incident is under investigation. The school district issued a statement to the community reminding families that weapons are strictly prohibited on school campuses.
