Girl Injured By Gun Found in Bushes

In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a girl was injured by a boy handling a gun that accidentally fired. She was taken to the hospital for surgery; her condition was not reported. The boy told police he found the gun in nearby bushes, and was showing it to the girl but didn’t realize it was loaded. The boy was charged with negligent injuring, illegal use of weapons, and illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile.
