Two Law Enforcement Officers Accidentally Shoot Themselves

An ISD officer at an elementary school in Corsicana, Texas, was injured after they accidentally fired their weapon. No one else was injured, and no other circumstances of the shooting were reported, including the officer’s condition. There is a continuing investigation.

And in Chicago, Illinois, an off-duty probationary police officer accidentally shot himself in the groin as he headed into work. The 22-year-old officer was “wearing street clothes” and “heading for duty,” when he shot himself in the parking lot of the police station. He is in good condition at the hospital.
