Two Children Injured in Hunting Accidents

While leaving a deer stand with their father in Timpson, Texas, a four-year-old child accidentally discharged a gun in their father’s holster. The child sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, and is recovering at the hospital.

And in Stanton, Nebraska, a 17-year-old was accidentally shot while hunting raccoons with an adult relative. The teen was exiting a pick-up when he was shot with his own gun. No other circumstances about the shooting were reported. The sheriff’s office is investigating, as the victim recovers at the hospital after surgery.
