Person Injured in Accidental Shooting

A person sustained a non-life-threatening injury to the foot in an accidental shooting that involved a high school student in Grand Rapids, Michigan. A letter notified the school system community about an “incident that occurred off school grounds,” that involved a student and a weapon. Extra security measures were put in place the next day, but classes went on as scheduled. Officials continue to investigate.
