Three-year-old Shoots Herself After Finding Father’s Gun in Backpack

A three-year-old girl shot herself in the leg after finding her father’s gun in a backpack at her home in Olyphant, Pennsylvania. She is in stable condition after undergoing surgery, and is expected to survive. Kristopher Sheerer, age 26 was watching the girl and his one-year-old son while their mother was at work. He was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and recklessly endangering another person.
