Eight-year-old Boy Shoots Himself With Father’s Gun Found in Backpack

In Memphis, Tennessee, an eight-year-old boy was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition after accidentally shooting himself with his father’s gun. The father told police that the boy retrieved the gun from his backpack while he and his girlfriend slept. Two other children and the boy’s grandparents were also in the home at the time of the shooting. The father and his girlfriend were detained for questioning.
