16-year-old Shot and Killed Entering His Home

Mistaken for an intruder, 16-year-old Daquavius Royalston, was shot and killed as he entered his own home in Atlanta, Georgia. Police are looking for the shooter who remains at large. He was identified as Quinterrious Kyson Turner, the significant other of the boy’s mother. Turner lived in the same home and is the father of her three-year-old. “He was a good person to my kids. I can’t believe it,” said the devastated mother. 

Daquavius, affectionately known at “D-Litty,” was a high school junior and an aspiring musical artist. A vigil at a local park drew a large crowd; loved ones wore t-shirts that he designed. “He was talented. He rapped. He was smart. He was funny. He was kind. He was polite,” said one attendee.
