Two Children Shoot Themselves With Unsecured Guns, One is Killed

Six-year-old Alex Reese, shot and killed himself with an unsecured gun he found in the bedroom of an apartment in Birmingham, Alabama. He was visiting from another state, and two adults were with him in the apartment. They were taken in for questioning by police. 

And a nine-year-old sustained minor injuries to their hand, after retrieving a gun from a locked gun safe in the Kenosha, Wisconsin home of a police officer. The gun used was not the officer’s service weapon. The sheriff’s office is investigating.
