Driver Struck by Stray Bullet From Target Practice
A 48-year-old man driving down the interstate in Harris, Minnesota, was struck in the leg by a bullet that came through the driver’s side door. When police responded, they reported “hearing gunfire consistent with rifle target shooting.” The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries; the other passengers in the car were unharmed. After canvassing the area, three men about 1,500 feet from the victim were found firing rifles “at a target positioned in the direction of the interstate.” The shooters are cooperating with police.
