12-year-old Girl Critically Injured, Teenage Boy Killed, in Unintentional Shootings Today
A 12-year-old girl was critically injured in an accidental shooting in Richmond, Virginia. A 15-year-old male family member has been charged with reckless handling of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a minor. Police indicate that other charges may be forthcoming.
And 17-year-old Wesley Dancler sustained a fatal gunshot wound in an apartment in Mishawaka, Indiana. The shooting happened during a gathering of adults and teenagers, and a 15-year-old boy was identified as the person handling the gun at the time of the shooting. He faces a preliminary charge of reckless homicide.
