Three Boys Injured in Accidental Shootings

A four-year-old boy was able to tell police how he accidentally shot himself in the rear in his home in Columbus, Ohio. “…from the child himself, he sat down on a piece of furniture….That piece of furniture had a pillow on it, and there must have been a gun underneath that pillow, and when he sat down, the gun went off. Kind of close to his rear end.” The boy was hospitalized in stable condition. His family is cooperating with police in their investigation. So far no charges have been filed.

And in Glens Falls, New York, two boys, ages 13 and nine, are recovering after being injured in what police are calling an “accidental discharge of a firearm.” There was an adult in the home at the time of the shooting. Police are interviewing witnesses, as they continue to investigate.
