Gun Accidents Injure Two
In Norfolk, Virginia, a three-year-old is expected to recover after sustaining a gunshot wound to the hand. The circumstances of the shooting were not reported, but 24-year-old Kirk M. Bond Jr. was charged with reckless handling of a firearm, allowing access to a firearm by a child, child neglect and possession of a firearm by a felon.
And a man was injured in an accidental shooting at a gas station in Le Mars, Iowa. He was trying to unload and secure a gun when it fired, striking him in the leg. He was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
