Four-year-old Boy Shoots Mother With Dad’s Glock
In Lynnwood, Washington, a four-year-old boy took his 44-year-old father’s Glock handgun out of its holster, and accidentally shot his 42-year-old mother in the arm. The mother was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries; the boy suffered minor injuries that did not require hospitalization. A deputy reported seeing two rifles on a counter, and the sheriff’s office noted that “[t]his was not the only firearm left unsecured in the residence.” They are waiting for a search warrant to continue their investigation. The father was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and unlawful storage of a firearm.
