Three People Injured in Separate Accidental Shootings
Few details were reported about the accidental shooting of a five-year-old boy in Lansing, Michigan. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. Police continue to investigate.
In an apartment in Detroit, Michigan, a 13-year-old boy unintentionally shot his 18-year-old neighbor in the wrist while handling a loaded gun found there. The victim’s brother, 26-year-old Geris Edward Gordon, left the gun unsecured, and was charged with firearms safe storage violations including premises under individual’s control, and minor present and injured self or another.
And a 64-year-old man in Bloomington, Indiana, accidentally shot himself in the leg as he got out of his car. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The sheriff’s office is investigating.
