Four People in Vehicles Injured in Gun Accidents Today

In the drive-thru of a fast food restaurant in Columbus, Georgia, an accidental discharge injured a one-year-old and the female driver of the vehicle. It was determined that a gun fell onto a seat causing it to fire. Both victims are expected to fully recover. Adrian Wisdom, age 23, father of the one-year-old, was charged with cruelty to children, reckless conduct, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

And in Hammett, Idaho, a stray bullet flew through the windshield of the Knox family’s vehicle; grazing six-year-old Layla Knox in the head, and sending shattered glass into Staci Knox’s arms and legs. Ryan Knox was driving and uninjured. “I came literally inches away from losing both my wife and my daughter in the same moment,” he said. The sheriff’s office determined an unidentified person was target shooting in the area, and indicated that charges have been filed against that person.
