Two Children in Tennessee Injured After Shooting Themselves

A two-year-old found a gun in the family’s Nashville, Tennessee home, and shot themself in the head. The child sustained life-threatening injuries. The child’s mother went to sleep after coming home from work; waking up when she heard the gunshot. Police recovered a 9mm pistol. Youth services division will determine if any charges will be filed.

And in Memphis, Tennessee, a seven-year-old boy shot himself while handling a gun. He is in non-critical condition at the hospital. The preliminary investigation determined that it was an accidental shooting.
