14-year-old Shoots Himself in Hand During Fight

In Patchogue, New York, five boys were fighting when a 14-year-old pulled out a gun and shot a 17-year-old multiple times, also, unintentionally shooting himself in the hand. The 17-year-old was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to survive; the 14-year-old was treated and released. Police recovered a 9mm handgun at the scene. The 14-year-old suspect was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
