19-year-old Killed With His Own Gun by Toddler

In a house in Hiram, Georgia, 19-year-old Kabrel Patterson was shot and killed by a three-year-old while he slept. Patterson brought the gun with him when he came to visit family at the home. In the morning the toddler woke up before the other 9 to 12 people in the house, found the gun, and accidentally shot Patterson. The toddler and Patterson were not related. 

“He has no recollection of what he did, or the consequences that are life-altering because of it. It’s one of the more unfortunate things we have to deal in our line of work is accidents like this,” said the sheriff’s office communications officer. Officials continue to investigate, but it doesn’t appear that anyone will be charged.
