Pawn Shop Employee Accidentally Shot by Customer

In Savannah, Georgia, 40-year-old pawn shop employee, Brittany Simoneau, was accidentally shot in the arm by 74-year-old Roddrick Warren, who was trying to sell his 9mm handgun. Warren said he had removed the loaded magazine before coming to the shop, replacing it with an empty clip. While looking the gun over, Simoneau removed the magazine, but according to footage from the store’s cameras, didn’t remove a round that remained in the gun’s chamber. As she walked away to get the money to pay Warren, he picked up the gun “to take the tension out of the spring on the gun by pulling the trigger,” causing the gun to fire, injuring Simoneau.
