Three Boys Injured in Accidental Shootings

In his home in Beaumont, Texas, a five-year-old boy found a gun in a backpack and shot himself in the leg. He is in stable condition at the hospital, as police continue to investigate the shooting.

In an apartment in Jersey City, New Jersey, an eight-year-old boy fired a loaded gun he found there, grazing a 12-year-old in the arm. The boy is expected to survive. Charges are pending as officials continue to investigate the circumstances of the shooting.

And a nine-year-old boy in a home in Troy, Michigan, was critically injured in an accidental shooting, and taken to the hospital for emergency surgery. Police recovered the gun, and are trying to determine how the boy accessed it.
