Two Toddlers Killed Themselves After Finding Unsecured Guns at Home

A three-year-old boy in Libby, Montana, found his father’s .22 caliber handgun on the couch, and fatally shot himself in the face. During their investigation, police found two magazines for a .22 caliber handgun in the pants pocket of 24-year-old Timothy Frederick Allen Moore. A detective also discovered evidence that Moore was using illegal drugs. Moore was charged with negligent homicide.

And few details were reported in the accidental shooting death of a two-year-old in Valley, Alabama. The toddler was at home with his mother and another child. Police believe the child found an unsecured gun in the apartment and shot himself. They continue to investigate.
