Three People Killed in Accidental Shootings

In Washington, D.C., a 14-year-old girl was killed when a gun she was handling fired, striking her upper body. She was with several other people inside an apartment filming a video for social media. A 15-year-old boy has been charged in the shooting with possession of an unregistered gun, and tampering with physical evidence.

Twelve-year-old Nashon Thomas, was accidentally shot and killed in his bed by a sibling in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Nashon’s mother and five minors were in the residence at the time of the shooting. Police are trying to determine who owned the gun, and whether any charges will be filed.

And in what appears to be an accidental shooting, 36-year-old Jonathan Lacour, was killed by his brother in Northbridge, Massachusetts. At the scene, police found Lacour covered in blood and a single shell casing from a Ruger American 9mm semi-automatic handgun. His brother, Christopher Lacour, 33, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
