Three-year-old Dies After Finding Unsecured Gun

In a home in Chesterfield, Virginia, three-year-old King Edmunds died, after shooting himself with an unsecured gun he found there. His grandmother’s boyfriend, 37-year-old Jeffrey R. Greene, the gun’s owner, was charged with child neglect and allowing a child access to a firearm. The boy’s grandmother and legal guardian, set up a GoFundMe page to help with expenses. “I’m at a loss right now; I really don’t know what to say. Anything helps, everything is appreciated. Please keep your babies safe and practice gun safety. I do not wish this pain on anyone,” she wrote. Police continue to investigate.
