Two People Wounded by Guns Carried in Pockets
While standing in a snack bar line at a movie theater in San Antonio, Texas, Maximus Sabastian Xavier Iruegas, age 22, was grazed in the leg when a gun in his pocket unintentionally fired. Police recovered the gun and charged Iruegas with unlawful carrying of a weapon in a prohibited place, and discharging in a municipality.
And in Boston, Massachusetts, a teen was injured when a gun in his pocket accidentally discharged outside a local barbershop. School had let out 45 minutes earlier, and the teen was waiting for a friend who was getting his hair cut. The bullet entered his thigh, though his injuries are not considered life-threatening. So far the investigation has not answered how long the teen had the gun on him that day.
