Two-year-old Dies, Four-year-old Injured, in Separate Accidental Shootings

In Fort Worth, Texas, two-year-old Ta-Kirus Davon Jones, died at the hospital after sustaining a critical gunshot wound. The adults who brought Ta-Kirus to the hospital told police that the toddler shot himself. There is a continuing investigation to determine the circumstances of the shooting.

And in a store in Wichita, Kansas, a four-year-old girl shot herself in the lower torso after accessing a gun left unsecured by her guardian. She was taken to the hospital in critical , but stable condition. Ana Sorto, 50, was charged with aggravated child endangerment.
