Six-year-old Injured After Finding Semi-automatic Gun in Glovebox
While a six-year-old boy waited for his mother in a parked vehicle in Summerville, South Carolina, he found a semi-automatic handgun in the glovebox and accidentally shot himself in the leg. He was in the passenger seat of a vehicle with two other siblings while their mother went inside a restaurant to pick-up food. The boy was helped by a witness before EMS arrived and took him to the hospital. No one has been charged, but police continue to investigate.
