Juvenile Critically Injured in Accidental Shooting
Police said it’s very likely the shooting of a juvenile in a Vicksburg, Mississippi home was accidental. The injured teenager was shot in the neck, and airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.
Three young men were hanging out together “in the confines of a friend’s home with a parent present,” said the police chief. The gun fired after one of them tripped while playing with it. Seventeen-year-old Kenard Younger Jr., has been charged with aggravated assault. Police are continuing to investigate to determine the circumstances of the shooting, including if the gun was inside the home, or brought by one of the teenagers.
