Unintentional Shootings Injure Two Teenagers

In Channelview, Texas, a 15-year-old was handling a gun that unintentionally fired, sending a 16-year-old to the hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head. The two juveniles, and a third teen, were playing video games in a room that also contained an airsoft gun and a real gun. Called a “freak accident” by investigators, the circumstances of the shooting are unclear as they try to determine where the teens got the real gun.

And few details have been reported in the self-inflicted, accidental shooting of a 15-year-old boy in Chicago, Illinois. He shot himself in the left forearm while handling a gun, and was taken to the hospital in fair condition. Detectives are investigating.
