Three People Hurt in Unintentional Shootings

In Bloomington, Illinois, an 18-year-old male was injured after he accidentally shot himself with a handgun. When police arrived, a 19-year-old male was trying to leave the scene with the gun before police apprehended him. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment, and the 19-year-old was taken into custody. The serial number for the gun had been removed, and both males face multiple unlawful possession charges. The injured 18-year-old was also charged with reckless discharge of a firearm. 

A man in Cary, Illinois, seriously injured himself when he was struck by an unintentional discharge from the gun he was cleaning. He was airlifted to the hospital for a gunshot wound to his leg. No report on his current condition. Police are investigating the incident.

And in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, two brothers were playing with guns when 16-year-old Jordan Mosley, accidentally shot his 14-year-old sibling in the head. No one else was home at the time, and the victim was taken to the hospital in grave condition. Mosley told police he and his brother were playing with two guns that were not loaded. They had initially removed the magazines, but replaced them when they thought they heard someone coming. When they realized no one was there, they resumed playing without removing the magazines. Mosley pulled the trigger twice, shooting his brother in the mouth. He is facing charges of possessing a firearm as a minor, recklessly endangering another person and aggravated assault.
