Two Men Hurt in Accidental Shootings

While putting groceries into a vehicle, a 22-year-old man accidentally shot himself in the face in a parking lot in San Antonio, Texas. His injury was not life-threatening. Police are investigating.

And two friends were drinking alcohol in an apartment in Clovis, California, when one of them took out his gun and accidentally shot the other man in the abdomen. “(He) was showing it to his friend and presumably believed it was unloaded at the time,” said a police spokesman. The victim was treated at the hospital and released, and a recommended charge of negligent discharge of a firearm was sent to the county district attorney’s office for review.
