Two Boys Shot by Relatives, One is Killed
A 16-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene, after being unintentionally shot in a barn behind a home in Tomball, Texas. Rhyder Tettleton, the victim’s 17-year-old brother, has been charged with homicide. The boys’ parents were not home at the time, and a group of teenagers had gathered who were drinking alcohol and handling guns. Tettleton said he thought the gun was unloaded when he fired it at his brother.
Also, in a home in Detroit, Michigan, a 12-year-old boy was struck in the arm when a gun his 16-year-old cousin was handling accidentally fired. The 12-year-old is recovering at the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. His cousin has been charged with careless discharge of firearm causing injury.
