Toddler and Two Other People Injured in Accidental Shootings

A two-year-old child in Overton, Texas was accidentally shot in the chest and airlifted to a hospital for treatment. The child is in stable condition, and no one has been charged at this time.

A 16-year-old in Carbondale, Illinois, was unintentionally shot and injured when a group of juveniles mishandled a gun.The gun used had been reported stolen from a vehicle. The shooter was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm.

And an employee at a business in Redwood City, California, accidentally shot himself in the leg after stopping an attempted robbery. He had armed himself to confront the suspects, and later, the gun fired inside his pants pocket while he was working.
