Three Children and an Unborn Baby Involved in Unintended Shootings; Two Suffered Life-threatening Injuries, Two are Dead
Police in Las Vegas, Nevada arrested a 15-year-old boy after what was termed an “accidental shooting.” The victim, a woman, was found shot to death in a vehicle. The boy has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.
A toddler in Phoenix, Arizona, suffered a life-threatening injury after shooting themselves. According to police, “the shooting was accidental and self-inflicted.” A suspect has been detained on unspecified charges.
Kono Holloway, age 21, of Charlotte, North Carolina was arrested by and charged with “storing a firearm in a manner accessible to a minor.” Holloway’s three-year old child had apparently found the gun and shot himself, suffering life-threatening injuries, but is expected to survive.
Huntsville, Alabama police arrested 27-year-old Dequerius Amar Clayborn for the death of an unborn baby following a shooting in a home in that city. Clayborn apparently mishandled a gun and shot a 24-year-old pregnant woman who is now in stable condition, having lost the pregnancy.
