11-year-old Shot by 14-year-old
In a home in West Palm Beach, Florida, an 11-year-old was injured by the unintentional discharge from a gun fired by a 14-year-old. Sitting on a coach across the room, the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, and was treated at the hospital and released the same day. Nine children of different ages were gathered in the home, and it’s not clear if any adults were present. A twelve-year-old had brought two guns with him that he hoped to sell, but a different gun was used in the shooting and has not been recovered. The 12-year-old was charged with two counts of carrying a concealed weapon. The 14-year-old was arrested and faces a charge of culpable negligence. Police continue to investigate.
