Two Children Killed in Unintentional Shootings

A two-year-old boy in Decatur, Georgia, shot and killed himself with his father’s unsecured gun. The toddler was pronounced dead at the hospital; his father, 39-year-old Michael Labiron, was charged with murder and cruelty to children.

And in Columbus, Ohio, Carlie Frizzell, age 16, died in an unintentional shooting. Police originally thought Carlie shot herself, but have since identified a suspect, and will present evidence of their investigation to the prosecutor’s office to determine possible charges. Carlie was the mother of a one-year-old-child.
