Man Unintentionally Shoots Himself While Waiting In School Pickup Line

A man was sitting in his car on the pickup line at an elementary school in Springfield, Missouri, when he accidentally shot himself in the leg. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, but it is not certain he will face any charges. Though firearms aren’t allowed on school property, the county prosecutor said, “…if you have it in your vehicle while you’re picking up the child at a school, as long as it is not brandished and doesn’t leave the vehicle, that it not a criminal offense by itself.”
